“If you ask me which is my favorite dish in the world, it’s very hard for me to answer, because I’m a big-time foodie,” says Rosalía, Vogue’s Spring 2026 cover star. “But I love, love tortilla patatas.”
Lately, the singer has been trying to master a specific style of Spanish tortilla, she tells writer Abby Aguirre in the cover story. “I’m obsessed with the Betanzos one,” she says. “So creamy on the inside. More cooked on the outside.”
Fittingly, in the newest installment of Vogue’s Now Serving, a video series in which celebrities make their favorite dishes, Rosalía shows viewers how to make a Spanish potato omelette her way. Ahead of her Lux world tour and her role in the new season of Euphoria, she brings us into the kitchen, where she cooks with a signature blend of messiness and heart (and a generous amount of onion).
While Rosalía is the first to admit that slicing onions isn’t her strong suit (“I have the worst technique,” she says), for her, cooking isn’t about perfection. “It doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters is that it has vibe, that it has heart, that it’s made with love.”
“What I like about cooking is that it forces you to be there,” she continues. “So this is a challenge for me, to be speaking while I do this. Usually I’m quiet, or internally dancing salsa.” She invites some friends to join her while she opens some white wine—a Pouilly-Fumé and a Sancerre (she tried Sancerre for the first time with Pharrell Williams: “He knows all the good stuff.”)
“Pretty girls know how to open bottles, and they open them themselves,” she declares. (Take note, everyone!). Wielding the corkscrew, she breaks the cork but quickly recovers, maneuvering it out in one piece. She shows us the right way to cheers: by tapping glasses and then setting hers down on the table before taking a sip. That last part is important. She shares a saying in Spanish: “Who doesn’t put their glass down, doesn’t fuck.”
Finally, Rosalía offers some wisdom about the art of cooking. “Having someone cook for you is something special, it’s incredible,” she says. “And if you’re lucky enough that someone cooks for you every day, that’s a privilege, because it’s something we often take for granted. I think it’s very special when someone cooks for you, because it’s a love language.”
