As Saturday Night Live UK makes a splash for Sky TV, the British spin-off of the NBC sketch comedy show is making its way across the pond tonight.
With Peacock set as the US home of the series, the first episode of SNL UK will be available to stream Sunday night at 9pm ET/6pm PT on the platform, following the show’s Saturday, March 21 premiere.
The debut episode was hosted by Tina Fey, with musical guest Wet Leg, premiering to nearly 230,000 viewers in the UK, despite mixed reviews. Sky previously extended the first season to eight episodes.
Next weekend’s episode will feature host Jamie Dornan and musical guest Wolf Alice, followed by Riz Ahmed and Kasabian the following week.
SNL UK‘s inaugural cast features Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
SNL UK is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video for Sky and NOW. Lorne Michaels is executive producer, James Longman is lead producer, Liz Clare is director and Daran Jonno Johnson is head writer.
