Shawn Hatosy Joins Olivia Colman & Brie Larson In ‘Cry Wolf’ FX Series


EXCLUSIVE: Coming off his Emmy win for The Pitt, Shawn Hatosy has signed on to star opposite Olivia Colman and Brie Larson in Cry Wolf, FX‘s limited series created by Sarah Treem.

The project, inspired by the Danish series Ulven Kommer (Cry Wolf) by Maja Jul Larsen, is a psychological family thriller following a social worker, Kath (Colman), and a mother, April (Larson), thrust into crisis when the mother’s teenage daughter, Mia, alleges abuse, pushing both women to their limits as they navigate an impossible situation.

Hatosy will play April’s husband and Mia’s stepfather who is at the center of the girl’s abuse allegations.

Produced by FX Productions, Cry Wolf is executive produced by Treem, who serves as showrunner, Colman via her South of the River Pictures, Melissa Bernstein of Special Interests and Larson.

Hatosy won a Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series Emmy in September for his recurring role on HBO Max’s The Pitt as Dr. Jack Abbot, a combat veteran and attending physician in emergency medicine at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. He is returning for Season 2, which premieres Jan. 8, and is also directing an upcoming episode.

The Pitt is the third John Wells Productions series for Hatosy who also starred on Southland and Animal Kingdom. Coming up, he also will star opposite Samara Weaing and Sarah Michelle-Geller in Searchlight’s Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, opening April 10. Hatosy is repped by Paradigm and Trademark Talent.
