We are gonna get the limo out front, hottest styles, every shoe, every color. Yeah when you’re famous it can be kinda fun—you get it. Hannah Montana is coming back for one night only, and we can’t wait to see her again. Sorry, had to. Yes, on February 17, Miley Cyrus announced that, after much hype (the wig teaser was fan-made, FYI), there would be a Hannah Montana anniversary special. We can’t wait.
Thought it ended fifteen years ago, we’ve never really gotten over Hannah, have we? With best-selling albums and a movie to boot, its definitely one of the biggest Disney Channel shows/franchises of its era, and Cyrus has been embracing the nostalgia more and more. She might have even gotten a haircut for the occasion, joking (?) in January that her bangs, reminiscent of Hannah’s, were for the anniversary.
Here’s everything we know:
Here’s the teaser
“Going back to where it all began. The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special premieres March 24 on @DisneyPlus #MileysMemories,” the pop star wrote on X alongside a 17-second clip showing a vintage car with the license plate “HM 20” pulling up outside Stage 9 on the Disney lot. The show’s theme song can be heard on the car’s radio, and then someone in black boots steps out of the driver’s side.
Girl, we know it’s you!
Cyrus set the stage, ha-ha, for the teaser when she posted some set pictures “from the archives” on Instagram.
Who is in the special?
Cyrus had three main co-stars on the show: her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Emily Osment and Mitchel Musso, who played Miley/Hannah’s best friends. So far, none have indicated any involvement in the special, though Osment did recently mention the anniversary when reflecting on working with a Hannah Montana director on her new show, Georgie & Mandie’s First Marriage.
