Paging Dr. Robby, Dr. Michael Robinavitch — you’re needed at the ICG Publicists Awards.
The Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild said Tuesday that The Pitt Emmy winner Noah Wyle will receive its 2026 Television Showperson of the Year Award.
The Leverage: Redemption actor and ER alum will be feted during the ICG Publicists Awards next month. The annual award celebrates innovation in the creation and development of motion pictures and honors individuals who represent that special spirit of showmanship.
Wyle stars as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch in HBO Max’s ensemble drama The Pitt, a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh. Wyle won the Emmy for Lead Actor in a Drama Series last year, and the show won Outstanding Drama Series for its first season, leading a renaissance in the medical genre. The series The Pitt made a splash with its Season 2 debut last month, raking in 939M minutes viewed and landing at No. 7 on the overall streaming charts and fifth among streaming originals. It already has been renewed for Season 3.

Wyle broke out in 1995 as Dr. John Carter in the original cast of NBC groundbreaking medical drama ER and would become its longest-serving castmember, appearing in more than 250 episodes during its first 12 seasons and the final Season 15. He amassed five consecutive Emmy noms for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series from 1995-99. His other TV credits include The Librarians, Falling Skies and The Red Line.
